Lilly Pulitzer 2018 After Party Sale - Dressing Room Edition!

I had such a great time at the After Party Sale yesterday (click here to see what I bought yesterday!) that I had to go back today. I thought it would be fun to take y’all into the dressing room today and let you all see how some of my favorite pieces from the sale fits!

As a reminder, I am 5’6″, I usually wear a size Large (12) or XL (14) in dresses (depending on the fit), and I wear size 32 jeans.

Before we head in to the fitting room, let’s take a look around the store!

Inside the Fitting Room!

1. Lilly Pulitzer Janelle Shift Dress in Pinch Pinch
Retail: $168
After Party Sale: $59

The Janelle above-the-knee shift dress is a fitted dress, so I tried on a XL. The XL was easy to zip up and it felt pretty true to size. The lace trim at the neckline, waist and seams are very flattering!

The fabric is very interesting, it is fabricated from a printed stretch scuba ponte. It is very similar to a swimsuit material you can’t tell by just looking at it. I actually like how the fabric feels and it provides really good stretch!

2. Lilly Pulitzer Windsor Dress in Surf Gypsea Swim
Retail: $98
After Party Sale: $44

The Windsor short casual strapless dress is so easy to wear! The hips fit really well, but the bust area was a little bit too big. I am a B cup, so that might be why it is so roomy. It is made of a nice cotton material and it would be perfect for a pool party, the beach, or just a really warm Texas day!

3. Lilly Pulitzer Karlie Wrap Romper in Celestial Seas
Retail: $178
After Party Sale: $69

This is hands down one of my favorite pieces of the After Party Sale! It is a romper that looks like a wrap dress! If you have a long torso, I would size up (this is the same suggestion I received from the Sales Associate who was 5’8″ and wearing a size 4, even though her usual size is a 2).

The only con is that the neckline is a little bit big which lends to extra fabric in the chest area. I think if you are a C cup or above, you will be fine. I keep thinking about this romper, so I might get it tomorrow during the online sale. The Sales Associate suggested a lace or solid colored bandeau if the neckline is too low, she was wearing one herself and it looked great!

4. Lilly Pulitzer Tiki Wrap Romper in Paradise Found Lace
Retail: $198
After Party Sale: $69

This shocking pink color is so gorgeous!!! This romper is just a hair more fitted than the previous one, which is great for the chest area because the fabric did not hang like the Karlie romper.

The only con I noticed with this romper is that there were some areas where the lace was already pulled, so I would be super careful when wearing this!

5. Lilly Pulitzer Gigi Top in Multi Beach Please
Retail: $38
After Party Sale: $19

This V-neck Gigi top is so comfy, it is bra friendly, and it is true to size!

6. Lilly Pulitzer Carlotta Stretch Shift Dress
Retail: $228
After Party Sale: $69

The Carlotta stretch shift dress is made of a similar scuba fabric as the Janelle shift dress (#1). This dress runs a bit boxy and larger so I would recommend sizing down.

7. Lilly Pulitzer Elsa Top in Bay Dreamin
Retail: $158
After Party Sale: $59

I must apologize for the workout clothes and no make-up look! I head heading to the gym after Lilly!

Can I please point out that this blouse is $100 OFF!?!?

I an wearing an XL and needed a L. It is roomy and the sleeves are very generous! This is also a must buy for tomorrow!

  1. hello!
You’re gorgeous! Love your finds, they look fabulous on you. Any chance you’re willing to sell the Windsor dress?
I stumbled across your blog whilst searching for it!

    • Hi Marjie!
You are so sweet and kind! I actually didn´t end up purchasing the Windsor because the bust area was too roomy and had a lot of extra fabric hanging no matter how I messed with it, lol. Otherwise, I would have happily passed it on! 🙂 I think for ladies that are A or B cup, they will run into the same issue with that dress! Unless you are ok with adding a belt to fix some of the extra fabric.

I hope you have the best of weekends and sorry I couldn’t be of much help!!!
